Rob Glover, co-director
Rob is a masterful dance instructor, skilled choreographer and movement training specialist. Born in Liverpool, England, Rob began his career in the performing arts at the young age of six. As a world champion dancer, Rob knows exactly how to motivate people to perform beyond their own expectations. He has whipped top athletes, musicians and celebrities into shape through the art of movement training and performance coaching. As a performer and choreographer, his resume spans the globe on both stage and screen. Most recently, he served as an Assistant Choreographer on the UK version of Dancing With The Stars. Rob has a unique ability to inspire people to achieve their true potential. His fun personality, exquisite talent and passion for teaching enables him to create an environment where his students believe in themselves. Using the vehicle of dance, he gently guides people to achieve their goals through the power of association.
Neal Klein, co-director
Neal has been dancing since 1979, directing Dancing Feats since 1989 and The Dancing Fools since 2010. He's taught over 25,000 people to swing dance! Since the beginning, he's helped nurture West Coast Swing in New England. He has had successful careers as a competitive swing dancer and as an international instructor and performer. He is the co-director of Swingin' New England with his daughter Willow, which takes place every November. Off the dance floor, he's an Associate Professor of Psychology at Lesley University.
Sarah Elizabeth, treasurer
Sarah was introduced to west coast swing by Neal Klein and Rob Glover early in her college years. The friends she has made in her university's west coast swing club have become some of her closest and most treasured friendships after graduation and into her early career. She feels fortunate to continue to be part of the movement that affected her life so deeply.
Sarah Jacobson, graphic design
Sarah is currently studying graphic design at Lesley University, with the plan to graduate Dec 2017. She has been dancing since the age of 5 in various dance styles. Sarah joined professional dance companies as well as taught different dance styles before attending college. She has recently been introduced to West Coast Swing and enjoys the aspects of social dancing.
Elyse Laferriere, website
Elyse is a graduate from Rhode Island College with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Dance. She has been involved in dance communities since age 5 and has taught, competed and performed numerous styles of dance. Elyse has been a part of different professional dance companies and delights on being onstage still. Her background includes working with non-profit and for-profit groups developing websites and growing businesses. Elyse is looking forward to sharing her love of dance and seeing the swing community grow!
Alli Reese, social media
Alli took Neal's west coast swing class her first semester at Lesley University and never looked back. She served as president of Lesley’s west coast swing club for two years and received her B.S. in Expressive Arts Therapy & Counseling Psychology in 2017. Currently, she is completing her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lesley and working as an early intervention clinician. She competes around the country, teaches in the Boston area, and runs social media for several local dances. Outside of west coast swing, Alli has been performing in a variety of dance styles since the age of four, most notably as head captain of the Boston University colorguard.
